Erks lose final by 4 |
Hainault Stars landed the Essex Met basketball double with a hard fought victory over Erkenwald in the play-off final, the Stars' veteran ex-Budweiser League duo Keith Pringle and Graham Hill leading the way against an Erks team spearheaded by exciting young guards Chris Olufeso and Irfan Hussain.

Last chance for silverware |
The EMBL Championship game takes place against Hainault Stars on Monday, 13th May at St Aubyns School, Woodford. Tip off is 20:00.
Following the defeat on Sunday by the NBL2 team against the Dudley Bears, Monday night's game will be the Erks' last chance to win a trophy this year.

Erks shock Cardinals in play off semi |
The Erks produced an amazing upset last night when their six man team defeated rivals Cardinals in the EMBL play off semi final. This will be Erks' first appearance in the Championship game for five years which makes the victory even more sweet. The full game report is here.

Erks' play off game against Cardinals will take place on Tuesday 23rd April at Sydney Russell. Tip off is 20:40.

Erks finish third |
Erks lost their final game of the regular season to rivals Cardinals on Tuesday night. For three quarters the Erks could not find their game but fortunately they recovered in the fourth to reduce the deficit to a respectable(ish) 14 points.
Finishing third in the league has earned Erks a first round play off game against Cardinals.

Erks drub champs 83 - 62 |
|
Erks' Essex Met league squad gave themselves a chance of finishing 2nd or 3rd in the league with a great display, inflicting only the second defeat of the season on league winners Hainault last Tuesday night (26/03/02). |

Erks tame Tigers |
Erks got back to winning ways on Thursday (22nd) night at Eastbury Tigers with a 90 - 76 victory. The game saw the return of Terry Harris and Gary Glennard in Erks colours and in an comfortable game all the Erks scored. Lee Atkinson top scored with 28.

Lakers beat Erks |
Erks lost on Friday night to the Lakers 60 - 68. It was almost all over in the first quarter as the Lakers went 21 points up (8 - 29) however switching from zone to man to man defense in the second quarter seemed to get the Erks back into the game. Unfortunately though despite winning the final three quarters Erks could never get closer than 7 points.
Dave Bromfield top scored with 17 points. Other scorers were John Sargent 14, Dela Agbolegbe 10, Richard Williams 9, Lee Atkinson 6 and Alan Parker 4. (Posted 19/11/01) |

Erks win game 2 |
Erks won their second game of this season's campaign with an 88 - 51 victory over Forest last Thursday night. Most impressive were the performances of youngsters Alan Parker and Peter Lee who earned a lot of valuable court time and points, 14 and 4 respectively.
