Erks lose to rampant students
Three Americans combined for 96 points (Maitland 43, Weakley 33 and Carlson 20) to knock Erks out of the LMBL cup on Monday night.

Full court pressure by the home side saw them run out to leads of 23 – 8, 34 – 12 and ultimately 60 – 36 at half time. Fast breaks, dunks and 3 pointers all featured in a dominant performance that saw the Erks facing a long night from the tip.

Switching from man to zone defense made little difference as the home side rained in 14 treys to progress easily to the next round.

Erks scorers:
Declan McCusker 5, Martin Overare 24, Steve Herd 4, Dave Passacantilli 4, John Kimani 19, Dela Agbolegbe 5, Dave Churches 20, Lee Atkinson.
