Erks 88 White Heat 98
Erks squad of only 6 almost caused an upset against last year's league and cup winners. The visitors hosted 3 of Interbasket's Conference team in their side but still found themselves in a game until the final minutes.

Although White Heat raced out to a 10 - 0 lead, Erks clawed away going into half time 45 - 46. A third quarter rally saw Erks lead by 70 - 63 at one stage before White Heat finally stepped up to run out leaders by 10.

Erks scorers:

Chris Olufeso 23; Rela Agbolegbe 12; Irfan Hussein 23; Craig Morris 20; Declan McCusker 4; Ed Bailey 6

Erks 67 ULU 71 (double header)
Any chance Erks had of winning the LMBL this season are now all over as they lost at home to ULU. Erks had the chance to go second with this "double header" counting as either 2 wins or 2 losses but the latter means that Erks now drift back to mid table.

Despite hitting 5 three pointers to take a 15 - 6 lead, complacency set in, and a scrappy affair followed.

Despite Erks leading 58 - 54 with 5 minutes to go, a 14 - 0 run from the visitors signalled the end of the game for the Erks and the end of the LMBL campaign for this season.

Erks scorers:

Chris Olufeso 22; Craig Morris 14; Irfan Hussein 12; Roy Roof 16; Ed Bailey 1; Paul Haydan 2

Erks 93 Cardinals 63
Erkenwald gained sweet revenge on the Essex League defeat by Cardinals 3 weeks ago by thrashing Cardinals and taking the double over them in this season's London League. With 5 players hitting double figures, and Erks hitting 12 three pointers, Cardinals had no answer.

Ed Bailey also played tough racking up 12 points including a first quarter dunk despite taking 5 steps!! Omega played man to man for the first quarter and most of the second, by which time Craig had racked up 19 points as he took on every player who tried to mark him.

Erks 60 Westside 61
Erks crashed out the LMBL cup at home to 1st Division Westside at Sydney Russell last night, losing their 1st home game in LMBL this season. Although Westside are unbeaten in the 1st Division this season, the home side Premier league were favourites to land a home draw against Camden in the quarter final, a team the Erks had beaten at Sydney Russell 2 weeks ago. The Erks never deserved to win following a dismal performance of all who played, only scoring 60 points. They fell behind 9 - 0 after 2 minutes and trailed 33 - 21 at the half. A low scoring 3rd quarter saw the visitors lead 44 - 30. Erks then doubled their score in the 4th quarter, briefly taking the lead in the 8th minute but relaxed again as the visitors deservedly held on for a place in the quarter final.

Erks scorers:

Chris 17, Irfan 16, Roy 0, Lee 17, Declan 4, Ed 4, Rela 2.

Erks now have 4 home league fixtures in a row on the next 4 Tuesdays in the LMBL against Omega, Cardinals, ULU & Wandle.

Erks beat Cardinals
Erks travelled to Cardinals on Friday night with only Coach McCusker and five players due to the late withdrawal of "Garbageman" Churches and the unavailability of Ed Bailey. Young guns Craig Morris and Chris Olufeso top scored for the Erks with 30 points each, Irfan Hussain got 20, Wes "Stone Cold" Fortt hit 10 and Paul Hayden 8.

The next game is on Tuesday night in the LMBL Cup against Broadwater Heat at Sydney Russell. Tip off is 20:45. With the absence of any more NBL2 action this month this may be a good one to come down and watch.
