For the umpteenth time this season, a game scheduled to start at Sydney Russell at 8.40 pm commenced at 9.20 pm due to the late arrival of opposition or officials. A first half of 2 quarters of running clock of 7 minutes followed with a normal second half.

This time, it was Cardinals who started the game at 9.20 pm with 4 players until Marvin Wilson arrived in the second quarter. Whilst Erks had the numerical advantage, they couldn't open a significant gap as Calvin Gooden and Banji Ladipo kept Cardinals in the game with some long range "treys". This was to the absolute delight of Garbage Time Wes,Home Game Irfan & "Make out I'm injured so I don't have to get a good Stuffing Craig" who cheered the away team every time they scored.

Mark Denchfield and Lee Atkinson kept Erks in front with some outside shots whilst Fun Ed hit his shots from the top of the key and Declan drove to the hoop.

Erks led 28 - 20 at the break and with 2 full teams now playing in the third quarter, neither team could pull away as the lead was cut to 5 at the end of the third with Erks leading 38 - 33.

Erks stepped up the defence in the fourth and strong finishing from the Erks capped the win in a scrappy affair.
