With Garbage Time Dave Churches out injured, it was going to an up-hill struggle for the small Erks squad to overcome a full Hainault team and so it proved as Hainault won their first game at Sydney Russell for 3 years.
Erks were looking to Mark Denchfield, Martin Overare, Adrian & The Guru to spark the Erks offence. Mark and Martin hit 26 and 13 respectively but Adrian failed to hit the mark at all and the Guru hit 5 resulting in too low a points tally to trouble the visitors. Ronald Alexpondra hit 26 for Hainault with Scarlet Pringle and Paul Edwards chipping in 18 & 13 respectively.
The final will now feature league winners Cardinals v Hainault next Thursday.
