Another lethargic start by the Erks saw the young Saints team score at will from the outside, racing to 27 first quarter points. Erks managing to turn the ball over more times than to score points(12) as they tried to get into rhythm. Erks altered their line up and defensively went to a zone in the second quarter to no avail as the confident Saint guard Luke Jones added 10 to his tally of 22 game points.
Centre Dave Churches dominated the second half adding 29 to his massive 43 point haul to instigate an Erks come back, with only five minutes remaining in the game Erks trailed by just 6 points, guards Gareth, meat, Lee and Herd upping there defensive effort and adding some valuable baskets almost claiming an unlikely victory. Saints bomb squad had other ideas though and ended the game as they started, nailing their outside shots with ease. If the Erks meet the Saints in the playoffs they must improve defensively as they allowed the youngsters 10 three pointers in the game.
