Erks continued their unbeaten run in the EMBL this season with a close victory over fellow league hopefuls Hainault. A very low scoring game, including an incedibly low scoring 1st quarter saw only 11 points scored as Hainault led 6 - 5 with all the away team's points being scored by Graham Hill.
Both teams found some rhythm in the second quarter as Erks hit from the outside by Mark and Church and Declan (yes Declan!!) with ex Erk & club debtor Keith "Scarlet Pimpernel" Pringle finding his first scores of the game. Even Denzil, who hadn't scored against the Erks for 17 games hit four points, both base line moves on Garbage Time Dave.
With Erks leading by 3 at the half, the third and fourth quarters saw the lead change several times. With a minute to go and the visitors up by one, Adrian Leclair hit a jumper inside the key. Graham Hill then hit again to regain the lead but Adrian hit both free throws after being fouled. Steve Herd was then fouled and hit one and when Paul Edwards missed a running jumper, Erks grabbed the rebound and the "W".
