Erks lost their second game in the EMBL in a week and only have themselves to blame for a dismal second half performance.
The home side only fielded 5 players but Erks could not make their advantage count as turnovers handed Stars lay up after lay up with the 2 main recipients (Wayne Ali and Rodney Alexander) combining for 57 points.
Erks looked lively to start with Robin French hitting 9 of Erks first 11 points on his way to a game and career high 28 points. When Robin hit another 13 in the second quarter and Erks went into the half leading by 6, the game was there for the taking.
Erks continued in the third and led by 7 going into the final quarter but collapsed in the fourth. Numerous turnovers led to the home side lobbing the ball long for lay ups and when Erks failed to get back or cover the outlet passes, the game was given up. With Stars outscoring Erks 20 to 10 in the final quarter, it has left the EMBL title wide open between Stars, Erks and Cardinals.
Stars have lost 3 and Erks and Cardinals have lost 2 each with Erks still having to travel to both of them with Caridnals and Stars still to play each other.
Erks scorers: Declan 3, Adrian 8, Robin 28, Lee Atkinson 4, Garbage 16, Shakey 8, Rela & The Guru - none
