Disappointing end to campaign |
Suffering the Sunday morning withdrawal of one of the two car drivers, Erks were stuck at Sydney Russell with only a two seater van to transport four players to another car in Dartford. Erks therefore did not travel to the game at Southampton Bulldogs and are now out of this season's competition.
The Bulldogs now face either Bolden or Bristol in the quarter finals.

2nd round game confirmed |
Erks' second round game at Southampton Bulldogs takes place on Sunday 14th March. Tip off is 14:15.

Erks face Bulldogs in 2nd Round |
Nene Valley Venom beat Cambridge Cougars 58 - 54 last weekend to conclude the pool round. This result means that Erks finish third in the table and earns them a second round game away at Southampton Bulldogs.

Erks qualify |
As reported previously, Erks have got through to the next round of the Founder's Cup competition. With only Nene Valley v Cambridge Cougars remaining to be played next Saturday, Erks will finish either second (if Cougars win) or third (if Nene Valley win). The latest table on the right shows positions as of 25/02/04.

Cougars hold on to beat Erks |
The Erks failed to win their final pool game against Cambridge Cougars on Sunday losing 66 - 68. A poor first half saw the home team trail 24 - 45 at the interval. However this was turned round in the second with a much improved performance that saw Erks level the game at 66 - 66 with a minute left on the clock. The Cougars sealed the game from the foul throw line hitting two from four with seconds to go.

Columbans beat Cougars |
Columbans beat Cambridge Cougars 67 - 60 last weekend which means that Erks will only top the group if they, Nene Valley and Columbans all win their remaining games. Erks would finish top, due to the tie-breaker rule, Columbans second with Nene Valley third. Other results would change this situation, though Erks look to have booked their spot in the next round. The table has been updated to reflect this latest result.

The latest Founder's Cup East Division table is now posted and the Erks look to be guaranteed qualification into the second round. More analysis soon.

Erks hold on to win |
Brunel pushed the Erks all the way to the final buzzer in an entertaining game at Sydney Russell on Sunday. Fortunately as the game approached the close, it was the Erks who stepped up their intensity to sink the clutch shots and take the victory, 70 - 67.

Erks outclassed |
Erks' third game of this season's Founder's Competition was pretty much over by the end of the first quarter. A disasterous opening meant that after 5 minutes of the second quarter Columbans led 4 - 29. The Erks put on a better show in the second half although the home team ran out comfortable winners 43 - 62.

Erks beat Hawks, 72 - 67 |
Erks travelled to Huntingdon on Sunday and came away with their second win in the Founder's competition.

The date of Erks' opening game against the Nene Valley Venom is confirmed to be Sunday 26th October. Tip off is 15.00 at Sydney Russell.

Opener moved |
Erks' opening game against Nene Valley Venom has been rearranged and will NOT now take place on Sunday 19th October. It is expected that this fixture will be moved to the following Sunday however this is yet to be confirmed.
