Erks win Founder's Cup |
Erks are the 2005 Founder's Cup winners after defeating ANZSAC, 64 - 54, in Sunday's final. Shab Niaz led the Erks offensive effort with 32 points that included 8 treys. He was also responsible for getting the Erks into the final with a buzzer beating trey / prayer shot in the semi final against Boldon on Saturday. Mark Denchfield had the highest scoring average over the two games with 25.5 while Shab had a 25ppg stat.

Erks face Boldon |
Erks are back in action on Saturday 16th when they face Boldon in the semi-final of the Founder's Cup. Boldon won the North pool with a 5 - 1 record.
The second semi-final sees the winners of the East pool, Huntingdon Hawks, take on the winners of the West pool, ANZSAC.

Erks into Final Four |
Erks beat Richmond 70 - 62 on Sunday afternoon to qualify for the Founder's Cup finals weekend in April. Richard "Chims" Williams' match report is here.

It's in our hands |
It's that time again when Richard "Chims" Williams works out all the permutations that will allow the Erks to continue on in the competition. This year is, tragically, no exception, so here is Chims' analysis.
"The South table currently looks like this:
Erks 3-2, Lambeth 3-2, Met Police 2-3, Richmond 2-3."
"So if we beat Richmond on Sunday we win the group. If we don't and the Police beat Lambeth we'd still probably win the group on head to heads (definitely if we lose to Richmond by less than 10). If we lose & Lambeth win next week, assuming they turn up, they would go through."
If everything goes to plan this Sunday against Richmond, Erks will be featuring in the finals weekend on April 16th / 17th in Peterborough (TBC).

Met Police triumph in OT |
Erks suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday against a five man Met Police team. The score was 78 - 84.

Game 6 - date change |
Erks' final pool game against Richmond has been rescheduled to Sunday March 6th due to a clash with the EBL Cup final on the original date.

Erks start off with win |
Erks hosted Lambeth in the first game of this season's Founder's Cup competition. In an entertaining game, it was the mature Erks who overcame the younger Lambeth team, 83 - 61. More details soon.
